Why the form matters
Two things separate one fish oil from another: how much EPA and DHA you get per capsule, and what chemical form it arrives in. Most concentrated fish oil sold today is in the ethyl ester form, which is cheaper to produce and structurally unfamiliar to the lipase enzymes that break fat down. This is re-esterified triglyceride, the form the body already handles.
Most labels report EPA and DHA and stop. This one also carries 50 mg of DPA per soft gel, the third long-chain omega-3, which the body can move in either direction toward EPA or DHA. It behaves less like a headline number and more like a reservoir.
Where it comes from
Sourced off the Chilean coast, vacuum distilled and independently tested so that heavy metals, pesticides and PCBs come back at undetectable levels. Vitamin E as mixed tocopherols and rosemary extract are added to keep the oil from oxidizing before you take it, which is the difference between fish oil and fish oil that has gone off.
