Orthomega 3
GO Thyme Omega 3
GO Thyme Omega 3 features natural enzymatically enhanced MaxSimil® monoglyceride fish oil that has a three times greater EPA+DHA absorption rate than an equivalent dose of ethyl ester fish oil. This translates to less fish oil in a smaller softgel for easy swallowing. This IFOS five-star certified fish oil outperforms other fish oils through MaxSimil patented lipid absorption enhancement technology (PLATform).

The Omega-3 Essentials
Extensive research has shown that omega 3 fatty acids support cardiovascular health, help maintain healthy blood lipids already in the normal range, and support brain and nervous system function. Omega-3 fatty acids have also been shown to support musculoskeletal health and promote a healthy inflammatory balance. The American Heart Association and other professional organizations emphasize the importance of omega-3 fatty acids in the diet for enhancing cardiovascular health and supporting brain health. They recommend consuming at least two servings of cold water fish such as salmon, sardines, or mackerel every week. This provides approximately 500 mg of omega-3 fish oil per day. Therapeutic doses of fish oil can range as high as 4,000 mg EPA+DHA per day for supporting healthy blood lipids.
Triglycerides Are Better Than Ethyl Esters
Most fish oil concentrates on the market are in the ethyl ester molecular form, a synthetic product that is the result of the concentration and/or refining process. Ethyl ester is inexpensive but has shortcomings in bioavailability and increases susceptibility to oxidation compared to the natural triglyceride (TG) form. One study demonstrated that omega-3 fatty acids in TG form are 340% better absorbed than in ethyl ester form.
Monoglycerides Are Better Than Triglycerides
Omega-3 triglycerides are not readily absorbed. The body first has to break them down into fatty acids and monoglycerides. Fatty acids are not well absorbed in the gut. This means most omega-3 supplements in TG form are not well absorbed. MaxSimil fish oil is in the monoglyceride form. Monoglyceride lipids are not broken down as readily and are absorbed up to three times better than omega-3 fatty acids. In a clinical study, patients consumed 860 mg EPA+DHA delivered as either a re-esterified TG or an ethyl ester. Peak omega-3 blood levels of the TG softgels were 24% higher than ethyl ester forms when not taken with food.
